Eyelids heal quickly which enables us to remove sutures within 5 days. Sometimes there is a little bruising that takes one week to disappear. You should sleep with the head elevated to prevent additional swelling in your eyelids. At Pittsburgh Plastic Surgery Dr Wooten recommends to start taking Arnica Montana 3 days prior to the procedure to expedite recovery. There is minimal to no pain after this procedure. Ointment is prescribed to enhance the healing of your incisions. Sometimes eye drops are also prescribed.
