During your initial consultation at Beleza Plastic Surgery Pittsburgh, Dr. Wooten will talk to you about your general physical and mental health status, pre-existing health conditions, prior surgeries, your medications, allergies, and smoking habits.  When asked about medications, be sure to include any diet pills, vitamin, or herbal preparations since some vitamins and herbal medications can affect your blood pressure and clotting ability. Honesty regarding your smoking and alcohol use is also very important, as these will have a profound impact on your recovery period and your ability to heal.

After reviewing your medical history, Dr. Wooten - Beleza Plastic Surgery Pittsburgh,will discuss your concerns and priorities regarding Breast Lift Surgery and will subsequently provide you with information on your options, while explaining the advantages and disadvantages of a Breast Lift procedure to you.

Breast examination performed by our Pittsburgh Plastic Surgeon -  Dr Wooten and the patient's expectations will determine the method of breast lift indicated and whether additional volume is required. The evaluation includes an assessment of skin quality, the presence and degree of breast droop, and relative breast volume.  As the degree of ptosis increases, a greater lift is usually required with more extensive skin removal and surgical incisions. Skin and breast tissue quality play an important role in the selection of saline or silicone gel implants and implant placement to our Surgeon Dr Wooten.
